Dr. Stephanie Robinson

Dr. Stephanie Robinson is a seasoned nursing education executive and healthcare administrator whose
career spans more than three decades of progressive leadership at the intersection of clinical quality
management and higher education. She holds a PhD in Higher Education Administration, confer,.red
December 2016, with a dissertation titled A Predictive Study of The ATI Content Mastery Examinations
Scores and the NCLEX-RN Outcome — a body of scholarship that reflects her abiding commitment to
evidence-based approaches in nursing education and workforce preparation.
Most recently, Dr. Robinson served as Regional Associate Dean of BSN Programs for Unitek College,
providing executive oversight of campuses across California and Reno from October 2019 through
October 2023. In this role she directed curriculum development, accreditation processes, program
evaluation, learning outcomes assessment, faculty supervision, and student enrollment and retention
initiatives. Under her leadership, BSN program attrition averaged below five percent, the NCLEX-RN
first-attempt pass rate reached 81.12% for the period July 2022 through June 2023, and she successfully
secured $744,000 in Song-Brown grant funding to advance the program’s mission and capacity.
Prior to Unitek, Dr. Robinson served for more than eleven years as Director of Nursing at Fresno City
College (March 2008 – October 2019), where she built and stewarded the largest registered nursing
program within a California community college, enrolling more than 430 nursing students. Her tenure
was defined by exceptional resource development — generating over $9 million in grant funding across
nine years and managing an annual program budget of approximately $3.7 million — alongside
comprehensive oversight of curriculum, regulatory compliance, accreditation management, faculty
development, and clinical partnership coordination.
Before her transition into nursing education, Dr. Robinson established deep expertise in healthcare quality
management. As Director of Quality Management at Kaiser Medical Center in Fresno (January 2004 –
March 2008), she led her team to exemplary recognition during the 2004 JCAHO Accreditation survey.
Her healthcare career began at Community Medical Centers / Santé Health System in Fresno, where she
contributed more than twenty years of nursing and administrative service spanning 1983 through 2003.
Dr. Robinson is a committed advocate for nursing workforce development and K-12-to-higher-education
pipeline initiatives. She has served as Chair of the Health and Human Services Health Subcommittee for
the Fresno Unified School District and has represented her field at national forums, including the NAF
Conference in New York in June 2018. She also serves as a mentor through the LifeMoxie Mentorship
Program in partnership with the Association of California Nursing Leadership, supporting the next
generation of nurse leaders across the state.
Dr. Robinson holds an active California Registered Nursing License (RN-371089) and brings strong
applied proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access.
